Who operates this site

Information you provide

The contact form uses your name, email address and message to respond to your request and sends them to the label by email. The newsletter form records your email address, selected language and consent record to manage your subscription and send label updates. A store order includes your name, email address, WhatsApp number and country code, selected products and variants, quantities, prices, payment method, order notes and shipping address. These details are used to process and follow up on the order, sent to the label by email, and an order confirmation is sent to the customer. Contact and store forms use short lived security challenges; forms also process technical data to prevent abuse.

Site usage and technical data

Google Analytics measures visits and interactions, including pages viewed, link clicks, scroll depth, searches, media and gallery actions, newsletter actions and store activity. Store events can include product names or identifiers, categories, quantities, prices, order value, currency and selected payment method. The Google tag loads after the page becomes idle. Service providers may receive technical information such as browser, device, approximate region, page and interaction data to deliver their services.

Cookies, advertising and embedded media

Google Analytics and third party media players may use cookies or similar technologies under their own settings. If Google AdSense is activated, Google and other ad technology providers may use cookies to show, measure and limit ads based on visits to this or other websites. Service providers and international processing

The site uses Google services for analytics and, if activated, advertising. Contact, newsletter and store forms use Amazon Web Services Lambda and Simple Email Service in the United States East (N. Virginia) region. Messages sent directly to contact@monkeyforestrecords.com are received by SES, stored temporarily in S3 and forwarded to the label mailbox. DynamoDB stores newsletter records and temporary security or abuse prevention records. These providers process information to deliver the requested site functions. Spotify and other linked or embedded services process information under their own privacy policies when their content is loaded or opened. Before advertising is activated, the current ad technology providers selected in AdSense must be identified with links to their privacy information.

Retention and your choices

Messages sent directly to contact@monkeyforestrecords.com are stored in the incoming S3 folder and are configured to expire after 30 days; SES also forwards them to the label mailbox. Contact form messages and store orders are sent by SES to the label mailbox, and their copies there follow mailbox retention settings. Newsletter records remain in the subscriber system until they are deleted; subscriber records do not receive an automatic expiry date. CAPTCHA challenges become unusable after about ten minutes, and abuse prevention records expire after one or two hours. Google and other providers apply the retention settings for their services. You may ask whether we process your data, request access or correction, request anonymization, blocking or deletion where available, request portability where applicable, ask about data sharing, or withdraw newsletter consent by emailing contact@monkeyforestrecords.com. You can also manage cookies in your browser and use any consent controls shown on the site.
